Enhance your conference room layout
The conference room: meeting at the top!
Is there a more strategic place in your company than the conference room? This is often where the most important decisions are made. It is therefore essential to properly arrange this room, first for its functionality, but also in a way to inspire creativity and collaboration.
To enjoy a meeting room conducive to productivity, several elements come into play.
Table
Central element of the conference room, the table must be chosen with care. Its size and format depend on the number of people who will use it as well as the extent of the room in which it will be. If you have little space, opt for a round or oval table. This shape maximizes the number of people who can fit in it.
Chairs
In order for all employees to remain focused on the objectives of your meetings, they must be very comfortable. It is therefore important to equip your conference room with chairs that combine comfort and ergonomics. This is especially important if you plan to hold long meetings there! Moreover, choose chairs whose height can be changed. After all, your conference room will not always welcome the same people.
Electronic equipment
Laptops, tablets and smart phones are increasingly essential tools for meetings. For added convenience, make sure your conference room has multiple power outlets.
Moreover, in this highly technological context, it is practically essential to equip your meeting room with access to the wireless network as well as a video projector or a screen.
Brightness
Finally, make sure your conference room has enough light for each participant to be able to take notes by hand or on the computer. You should also be able to adjust the intensity of the light if you are using the screen or the overhead projector. Lamps or ceiling lights with dimmers are good choices for a meeting room!
